After School Clubs

Enrichment Clubs will begin on Monday, October 2nd.  If you are interested in enrolling your students in this exciting and fun program, please see below.


For students not enrolled in After Care:

In order for your child to be registered to participate, two forms (Club Registration and Element of Risk Waiver) must be completed in full.  You can find all forms in the School Documents section to the left. Without these forms, students will not be permitted to participate in clubs.  On the second page of the Club Registration & Agreement Form is a complete list of the clubs being offered and on what days.  Without this form, I do not know what clubs your student is interested in attending.  For payments you will need to submit a Tuition Express form.  One option for payments is automatic withdrawal, the other is online registration where you provide us with a 4 digit pin code so that we can send you a link to complete the registration process for Tuition Express and pay online at your convenience.

 

 For students enrolled in After Care:

Only the Club Registration & Agreement Form must be completed with the list of clubs your student will be attending.  If a Club Agreement Form is not turned in, your student will remain in regular After Care.  There are no additional fees for students already enrolled in After Care.

 

 *Please note that some clubs have a limit on the number of students that can participate.  These spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis.*

 

 

Club Registration will not be accepted after Friday, October 6th.  If your student is interested in participating, their paperwork and registration fee must be turned in by that date.

PICTURE DAY

Picture day is tomorrow, Tuesday, September 26th. Order forms are being sent home in the students' backpacks.

Please make sure your child is dressed in the proper Plato school uniform for pictures tomorrow.

Hurricane Donations

Our generous Plato families have donated some food and school supplies for those who have been affected by the recent hurricanes. Amazon wish list donations have been designated to the Texas victims of hurricane Harvey. Any actual food and school supply donations are available for our PAC families. If you are in need, please contact Mrs. Parker, Ms. Donna, or Ms. Kay and we will let you know what we have available. We are all one Titan Family!

Lunch

Dear PAC Families,

Many of us have been impacted in some way by Hurricane Irma.  Please take a moment to read 
​how the state is helping our families 
with
​ school​
 lunch.  It is being offered for free until October 20th.  


If your family is in need
​,​
 be sure to let your teacher know and that your child must order lunch each day.  As the county is providing lunch from 
​Eisenhower Elementary​
 School we cannot get lunches for those who have forgotten to order and we cannot order extras.  

Another important point is that the menu is not going to be that which is listed until all effected areas are back up to full speed.  In other words, lunch may be a surprise each day.  We are asking families to take advantage of this service if needed
​,
 only to help keep the lunch providers burden to a minimum.  

If you do need any help from the school be sure to ask.  

NO Breakfast Monday, September 18

Due to power issues/supply difficulties, there will be NO County provided breakfast for students when we return to school on Monday. Please plan accordingly so that students are fed before they come to school. Thank you. 

Weather Update

Good afternoon Plato Families,

Thursday, Sept. 7 and Friday, Sept. 8, 2017:

 All Pinellas County Schools and school district offices will be CLOSED on Thursday, Sept. 7 and Friday, Sept. 8. All school-related activities are cancelled.

Plato Academy and Pinellas County Schools is working closely with Pinellas County Emergency Management to monitor Hurricane Irma and its potential impact on our region.

Although the exact trajectory of the storm and impact on our region remains uncertain, our community’s preparedness and the safety of our employees and families are the priority. For this reason, schools and offices will be closed on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017 and Friday, Sept. 8, 2017.

We hope this closure will provide our community and employees the time needed to assist their families and prepare for the potential impact of Hurricane Irma.

Looking ahead: 

It is too early to determine the impact of Hurricane Irma on school operations for Monday, Sept. 11. District safety managers will continue to monitor the storm and an update will be provided on Saturday or Sunday.

Information on weather-related closures will be communicated by:

  • E-mail message to employees and families
  • Information posted on school's website
  • Information will be shared with local TV, radio, print and online news outlets
  • Information posted on WPDS-Ch. 14 (UHF Ch. 14, Bright House Networks Ch. 635, WOW Ch. 2. and Verizon Ch. 46)
  • Emergency Information Phone Line: (727) 588-6424. Call the Emergency Information Phone Line to hear a recorded update.

A friendly reminder to all our families that an application must be submitted in order to get free or reduced school lunch.   


You may apply at  MySchoolApps.com  as this is the fast and secure way to apply for free and reduced meals online.  All applications must by in and processed by 09.21.17 in order to avoid the student going to full paid status.

MySchoolBucks.com is the online site that is needed in order  to create an account, put money in for your child's lunches and receive low balance accounts. **Please be sure to keep money in the account, or we will not be able to provide lunch for your child.**

FSA and EOC scores
