All Pro Dad Camping Trip - Fort Wilderness

posted Sep 28, 2012, 11:28 AM by Sharon Armitage
Hello Plato Families,
Attached is a flyer for this schools years Camping trip being organized by All Pro Dads. As of this email over half of the sites we reserved are already booked. To RSVP use this link: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0E48ABAD22A31-plato
Plato Academy Clearwater's All Pro Dad chapter is having their first breakfast October 16th and will be sending home fliers about this trip and the breakfast in the coming days, please look for them.
Since we have a limited site reservation, please do not hesitate to email with questions and register!
For those of you who may not have yet heard about the All Pro Dad camping trip, here are some details. This year we will be camping at the Ft. Wilderness campgrounds at Disney. 3520 North Ft. Wilderness Trail, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830. Camping will take place in February, from Friday the 15th through Monday the 18th. There is no school on Monday the 18th.

Disney's Ft. Wilderness is an over 700 acre property with lots of fun activities to join in on. There a field games, arts and crafts, horseback riding, fishing, exercise trails, nightly marshmallow/ smores roasts, chip and dale sing along, out door movies, 24 hour heated pool and spas, and much much more. Although some activities require a fee, many of the activities are offered at no additional cost.
We will be strictly tent camping this year and have reserved sites to accommodate approximately 65 tents. (There are sites available for motorhomes and pop up campers, but you would not be in our reserved area and would have to book these sites on our own.)
We have reserved "community sites" within our camping area. In this community area we will set up a kitchen where we will cook all of our breakfast and dinner. We will set up tables in the community area that will be used for our group dining room. There will also be fire pit/ seating area with an outdoor movie set up to make a nice hang out spot for the group.
Our plan is to provide dinner on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night as well as breakfast on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday morning. Each individual family will need to provide their own food outside of these meals. For example lunches, snacks, in between meal beverages, etc. There are restaurants and snack shops on site to frequent if you would like. Last year most campers brought their own lunches and snacks. Much more cost effective that way.
The cost for your site will be $40 per tent per night. A 3 night minimum is required. Once we have a total person count I can let you know what the food cost that covers 3 breakfasts and 3 dinners will be. I am thinking food costs should end up around $10 per person per day. Our meals are on the big side. Thanks to our wholesale connection, we go all out. So $5.00 per meal per person is a great deal.
We will kick off the camping trip with a Friday evening poolside pizza party and wrap up Monday with an IHOP pancake breakfast. In between there we be great times including exclusive group field games, group pictures, activities, campfires, making smores, outdoor movies, and more!
Please note that this is a family camping trip and that all family members are welcome. Mothers, Grandmas, Aunts, Uncles, Grandfathers, cousins, etc. Although our All Pro Dad chapter is hosting this camping trip, it is not exclusive to just Dads with their children.
Again only a limited amount of sites remain and the school year just started. Sites will be booking fast. So hurry and check your calendar and then RSVP as soon as possible.
Just in case your wondering the cancellation policy states we can not have refunds after December 31st, so if you RSVP now and then must cancel, it will have to be on or before December 31st in order to guarantee a refund. That being said, if you find yourself having to cancel after December 31st and someone else takes your spot (which would probably be likely) then in that case you would get a full refund.
